Description of Oakley AP Sandbag 2.0 Computer Bag:
Carry the Oakley AP Sandbag 2.0 three different ways. Carry this commuter bag with the handle, as a backpack, or as a messenger bag to transport your 15-inch laptop, PDA, and other daily essentials. Secure external organizer pockets give you space for your phone, iPod, and other small electronic gadgetry. A divided interior pocket keeps files, notepads, and paperwork in a semblance of organization. Keep your laptop protected in the padded interior pocket. This Oakley bag integrates with other Adaptable Payload (AP) pieces in the Oakley luggage line.
Messenger style strap converts to backpack straps
Bottom Line: No matter which way you carry it, the Oakley AP Sandbag 2.0 will keep you organized.
I love all of the options this bag has. The conversion of the shoulder strap to a backpack is simple. It seems to be spacious enough to store my book/notebook/laptop plus other pens/wallet/cell phone/etc. It fits pretty comfortably on my back (i'm a taller guy) so that's a plus. The major flaw I've come across definitely is the plastic clips on the back that hold the shoulder strap to the back of the bag. They "slide" off in the middle, so you can take off the strap and store it. The problem is how much of a P.I.T.A. it is to reattach them. If that issue was fixed, I'd rate it 5 stars, but it's definitely a big enough pain that it deserves a 3.
The bag is nice, but the convertible-straps design is terribly flawed. Within a month of buying this bag the straps began popping off. Now they do it nearly daily. This has caused the bag to drop to the ground with my laptop in it. Now my laptop is cracked in several places. When I wrote Oakley to complain and ask for the duffel-bag strap, they said oh sorry, but we can't. Don't waste your money, your sanity, and the integrity of your laptop on this product.
