Any pants keep you dry if you stay on your feet, but the Oakley Men's Crash Pants feature DWR-coated nylon construction and internal fleece panels for comfort when you come in contact with the snow. Whether sitting to strap in or picking up the pieces after a massive digger, you want pants that stand up to the abuse and keep out wetness--the Crashes deliver. Oakley added ankle gaiters to these park-fit pants to keep snow out on powder days and during crystal-clear spring riding.
Bottom Line: The Oakley Crash Pants—tough enough for you.
these pants are ok for what you pay for...but don't expect bomber quality out of oakley's outerwear. i've been destroying the bottom cuffs with my ski edges during drops, grabs and moguls.
also, i think 10 000 mm rating is pretty generous for these pants. after 3 runs in damp whistler pow, i can feel these soaked through.
they are a pretty baggy fit, and when you open up the leg vents and straightline, your legs look like the michelin man! when you buy them you'll see what i mean.

Great pants, but remember your base layer 02-29-08
I just got these pants a few days ago and immediately threw them on and went outside where it was about 15 degrees and windy. After about 5 minutes my legs were freezing. Back inside I went and threw on a base layer. With the base layer and pants I was plenty warm. I sat around in the snow for a bit and the water never penetrated the pants. Pants do not have any insulation at all. The fleece material is only for the pockets while the pants are lined with nylon.
I'm 5'10", 195 lbs, and have about a 34-35/32 pant size and the large is perfect. Could use some more pockets, but there's enough to store things and there's a lanyard for your keys. Pockets are made from a nice fleece material. The inner thigh vents are pretty large and lined with mesh. Overall I am very satisfied with my pants for the price and you guys provided great customer service and quick shipping.
I am 5'8 and about 185lbs and normally go with Large's and these pants fit me perfectly. They are perfect for me in that I'm not into the whole skinny jeans fit nor am I a big fan of the super baggy fit like a pair of Special Blend freedom line that I also have. I bought a red pair and a friend of mine bought a pair of olives and they are just like how the website shows in color and pattern. The only reason I'm giving these 4/5 stars is due to the lack of pockets and the lack of insulation. But they work VERY well and kept me dry during wet spring conditions. You will likely need to wear a baselayer however, as they do not provide much warmth since it's basically just a shell.
