Description of Bakoda Padded w/Wheels Snowboard Bag:
Head out of town on a shred trip and pack your board in the Bakoda Padded w/Wheels Snowboard Bag. This fully padded rolling board bag has all the pockets you want, and expands by twenty centimeters so you can stuff it full of your snowboard gear. Bakoda construction is burly enough to handle even the grimiest ports of transit. Bakoda even added a ventilated pocket for sweaty boots or stanky footwear.
This item came up on BROCIETY.com for 75% off. I JUMPED on it thinking a wheelie bag for that discount, done! Now that I have recieved it in the mail, I dont think I overpaid, but I dont feel like I got a deal.
The inter material feels like a cheap tarp from a hardware store. The zippers are not very industrial (I forsee problems with them). All around this bag seems to be on par with firefly quality.
That said, it was a wheelie bag for $30 bucks. Dont expect some fantastic deal but Id wait for this item to pop up on SAC or Brociety because retail is not worth it. If you need a bag today for a trip and cant wait, Id go with a dakine or burton for the money.
The bag looks good and I like the expansion feature, as well as the goggle pocket on top. The rest of the construction seems... okay, the zippers feel a bit flimsy, and the other two pockets are small, Certainly won't fit boots. I think It can fit two boards in it if you remove the bindings from one board, and position the loose bindings properly. I'm satisfied at the price I paid (wouldn't pay full price).
This bag is built well, and looks nice. It has a great goggle pocket at the top. Not sure about the turtle thing, or the expansion zippers in the main compartment; they don't seem all that valuable or functional. Probably won't be able to fit your boots in the bag either.
Otherwise, it rolls nice, is solid, good padding, won't mold... good for one snowboard + spare deck and any small random items! I'm happy with it as a whole.
