Bottom Line: Buckle in and hold on because the Nordica Olympia Speed Machine 12 Ski Boot hauls ass.
I just want to throw out there that the issues involving pain from this boot described by 'Horrible' sound like a poor foot shape to shell shape combo. I used to fit boots for folks and my immediate thought was this person's foot may be too narrow for a Nordica shell. Therefore the instep buckles need to be cranked way down to compensate, making arches scream. Great boot for wider feet (100 to 102mm), taller insteps, and thicker calves. Try 'em on!
Get ready for the wort pain of your life! I bought these bad boys at Sniagrab, thinking they'd be as warm and comfortable as a (much) older pair of Nordicas I had. Nope.
These things feel like they push the archs of my feet flat when you have them tightened enough to have any control. The only way to ski them comfortablely is to have them totally unbuckled. I literally undo them the SECOND I come to the flats, and on every lift.
Buy these only if you want suffering.
PS= its not just me, everyone I've talked to (including dude's on the mens version) have had the exact same experience. I won't be buying speed machines again, ever.
