At a sizeable138/109/128mm, the Ninthward THA 187 has one thing on its mind—gunning down powder. Built unlike any other fat ski on the market, THA 187 incorporates a two-inch carbon runner into a super-light tri-laminate poplar core, to create a light ski with consistent, big-mountain flex. Ninthward knows that billy-goating sketchy lines and landing big airs blind takes its toll on big boards, so they slapped a super-thick, ding-resistant Durasurf 4000 base and 13mm-thick ABS sidewalls onto THA 187. Further reinforcement includes a layered fiberglass ollie-pad mounting plate, and the knowledge that this ski won the ‘07 Freeski Nationals at Snowbird, and the Vegitate comp at Mt. Hood.

It's only been five or six days so far, but the THA is awesome! It destroys crud and pops effortlessly.
Slap on a pair of Duke's and you have the ultimate slackcountry/resort set-up for Pow and Crud. |
