The Mad Rock Maniac Shoe is a simple, high-performance climbing shoe for rockers who’d rather rely on their skills than a bunch of unnecessary tech in their footwear. The Maniac has everything you need and nothin’ you don’t. The supple rand and sole offer plenty of smear for gaining purchase on those tiny nubs and flakes, and the narrow toe profile wedges into thin cracks. Mad Rock did away with laces in favor of a clean, functional slip-on design with three pull tabs for easy entry and exit. A removable power strap supports your arch and holds your heel in place in the 3D Hooker Heel Cup.
Bottom Line: True climbing freaks appreciate the beauty of this simple shoe.
Not a bad shoe for the price. A little hard to get on and off. Laces are always nicer, but they work well, and at this price, you can't complain. You get what you pay for.
picked these up on SAC, not bad if you're not looking for a highly technical shoe. i agree with the other reviews, they do run small. also, image makes them look blue, they're actually purple.
I ordinarily wear a 38, and I ordered a 7 anticipating that they were on the small side (equivalent to 39.5). Even smaller than I thought: I think that I would need to order a 9 for them to fit correctly.
