Description of Mountainsmith Oasis 35 Backpack:
Although it has all the little features that are great for winter ascents, don't pigeonhole the Mountainsmith Women's Oasis 35 Backpack—this daypack takes you well into summer and beyond. When the snow falls, carry systems hold your skis or snowboard, an expander sleeve stashes a shovel, and a tube holds a shovel handle or a leash/leashless ice tool. If you're on a board and don't want to descend with your poles, simply secure them in the rear trekking pole mounts. During the summer months, a storm shield blocks sudden squalls, top compression straps hold a climbing rope, and the 47L interior gives you plenty of space for gear and supplies for a few nights. Mountainsmith specifically designed the dual-density foam shoulder straps, molded back panel, and pivoting waist-belt to fit women, so you know the Oasis carries comfortably.
