| I purchased these boots for a weekend caving trip and I am so happy that I did! They were so comfortable that I wore them the entire weekend. They kept my feet warm and dry. I do have a slightly narrow foot and these boots fit like they were personally made for me. I wore them while rappelling, caving and hiking and I would recommend these boots for any type of outdoor activity. |

| After owning many hiking boots over the years, these are the best hands down. I bought these at REI for full price in late spring. The boot is confortable right out of the box. Forget having to break in boots with these! My feet are a bit wide at the ball of the foot with narrow heels, & the Montrail allows a lot of flexibility in lacing. Whether backpacking over granite & rocky trails in the upper elevations of the Sierras, slogging through snow in the Canadian Rockies or Washington State (snow in the middle of summer!), or hiking the alpine meadows of Glacier NP, these boots provide comfort from the solid Vibram sole, well-padded & thoughtfully comfortable interior, to the metal lace clips. The goretex works great. My feet stayed comfortable & dry in muggy heat, rain & hail storms, & muddy trails that had turned into streams. |

| I bought these boots based on the high reviews. I could not have been more disappointed with them. After having walked over 40 miles in them, they are still extremely uncomfortable and give me blisters. The soles are very hard with little support. It is nice that the boots are waterproof, but that's about all that's good about them. Overall, don't waste your money. |
