Wear the Montane Men’s Atomic DT Pants with your Atomic DT Jacket when it rains cats, dogs, and marmots in the backcountry. These lightweight pants not only shed rain, they breathe exceptionally well, so you don’t cook in your own sweat during a tough uphill push. Articulated knees and an athletic cut ensure you move freely.

Bottom Line: Pack light and still stay dry during the downpour.
I bought a pair of Atomic pants 6 months ago and they live in my pack where ever I go. Worn them on bike commutes to work (60 mile round trip through northern englands hills!), on multiple ascents on the Cumbrian and Scottish hills in very wet conditions. They work really well in the mountains either trekking or moving fast - the calf straps reduce excess fabric and give a neat fit. I'm constantly surprised by how good Entrant DT is, both in terms of breathability and the DWR performance. Okay I work for Montane, but I've used waterproof trousers from many other brands and the Atomics are genuinely a permanent feature on my kit list.
