Description of Mountain Hardwear Paldor Softshell Jacket - Men's:
The Mountain Hardwear Men’s Paldor Softshell Jacket fights cold from the inside out. Its fleecy lining traps in body heat while its Windstopper laminate blocks cold gusts. When you’re working a V6 highball during a windfest, the Paldor Jacket’s Zephyr softshell fabric breathes to keep you dry and stretches so you can reach that two-finger. Five pockets, including two harness-friendly hand pockets and one for your MP3 player, keep you well-stocked on the rock.
Bottom Line: The wind-buster.

Great Jacket Looks Good Feels Good Makes me Happy 10-30-09
This softshell is great I bought it to exchange with the mountain hardwear synchros jacket which had a really awkward fit. I was afraid the cut on this jacket would be the same because of the brand, but I was way wrong. Turns out the synchros is meant to be worn as an outer shell and leaves plenty of room underneath to layer making it look baggy and kinda boxy. On the other hand the paldor is a much more sofisticated looking softshell, which has a n athletic trim cut and would not be ideal for layering anything underneath also it is a bit longer than the synchros, which was one of my biggest complaints about the latter. I am 5'9" 175lbs and the paldor fits me like a glove. The fabric is great too it does not allow any wind through, at all. I have not tried it out in the rain, but it's not really a rain jacket like the synchros.
