Description of Mountain Hardwear Compressor PL Jacket - Women's:
Wind-swept ridges, chilly belay ledges, and frozen base camps. All perfect excuses to pull out the Mountain Hardwear Women’s Compressor PL Jacket. Thanks to an ultralight ripstop shell and PrimaLoft One synthetic insulation, this jacket gives you big warmth for just a little bit of pack space. The fleece-lined hand pockets warm your frozen digits, and the compressible insulation warms even when wet. The feminine cut and accent stitching give you some bonus style when you head out for a drink after an epic day.
Bottom Line: A warm, compressible jacket for any alpine pursuit.
I bought this kind of jacket about 4 years ago and wore it to death. So I just bought another for replacement and its great. The sizing is a little different from the old ones. I am 5' 6" and weight 130lbs. In the old version I wore an 8. With the new sizing, I wear a Small. I didn't have any problems with the sleeve lenth. This jacket is very packable and light but keeps you quite warm. I recommend it to anyone!
Really wanted this jacket to work out. My husband has the men's version and lives in it. I got this jacket in a medium and the body fit me perfectly but the shoulders were about 6 inches too wide, making the sleeves way too long. I tried getting a size small but the sleeves were still way too long and the shoulders too wide. I consider myself pretty average, 5'7" 135lbs. Its such a beautiful jacket that I considered getting it altered, but was afraid tailoring it wouldn't turn out well. Still looking for a comparable jacket for climbing and backpacking.
