Bottom Line: Versatile pants for anything from climbing high to laying low.
I love these pants. Really soft fabric. Fun seaming on the legs. The waist fits low but not too low. And the legs aren't as baggy and wide as a lot of pants. Definitely not tight but even on a size 10 or 12 fit well on the leg. They fit pretty true to size but do stretch a bit as you wear them so you could consider getting the next size down. Bottom line: flattering, comfortable, lightweight. Great pants.
I really liked the design and fabric, however the size seems completely off. I usually wear a 10 maybe 12, and ordered a bit large, the 12, which I barely fit! Very weird, but had to send it back, extremely tight fit and it felt more like a 6 or 8. Not true to size at all for me.
The Mountain Hardwear Shasta Pant is a great climbing pant. I love the roll up hem, it works well for keeping the pants out of the way. The rise fits higher than I like though, and is more like a regular than low rise. Fit is true to size: 5'2" 113= Small.
