Description of Mountain Hardwear Coolidge Trunk - Men's:
The Mountain Hardwear Men's Coolidge Trunk secures our climbing vote with a generously gusseted crotch and stretch panels for mobility. A long inseam keeps your thighs and knees pretty covered even in overhangs, while the peach-finish synthetic fabric repels water, stains, and sweat. Mountain Hardwear added hip and thigh Switchback stretch panels to the Coolidge, because when you're stretched out on a slab like a medieval torture victim, sometimes a gusset ain't enough.
Bottom Line: Don't let anything come between you and your Calvins.
I love these shorts. They're nice and simple, with huge front slash pockets and sufficiently sized back pockets. They dry super quickly and don't hold stains at all. Awesome for both hiking/backpacking/technical use and everyday casual wear.
I am thoroughly satisfied with these shorts. I'm 6'2" and don't like to show off much thigh, so when I found these shorts hanging right at my knees I was delighted. I also find them to be very comfortable, and not pulling at my abundant let hair at all. Whatever it is, they did it right for me.
If I were designing the perfect short, I'd do away with the pocket on the left leg and the extra button flap, but these don't even come close to ruining the shorts for me. I paid over $50 bucks for them, pricey for shorts, but I don't regret it at all.
These shorts are great! I knew I'd be getting quality stuff from Mountain Hardwear and I was not disappointed. I have trouble finding shorts the right length and these are perfect. I'm 5'6" and these come down to just below my knees. Got em off SaC for $22 and wish I'd ordered a few more pairs.
