I got this jacket in white, and it's my favorite new piece this season. The fleece is very soft--it's vegan but it almost feels like rabbit fur. It's not the same greasy monkey fleece Mountain Hardwear and The North Face have been recycling again and again. The manufacturer's review is pretty right-on, but I disagree with their recommended uses. For me, this fleece is too hot and heavy for high-energy activity. It works better (and very effectively) as casual or post-activity insulation.
It's a very warm and of great quality(love the hidden pockets) but it made my short & full-figured mom look like a Sesame Street Character (like Snuffleupagus). I like Sesame Street, so I thought it was cute. But it was also a little heavy for her.The furry plush is not as supple or new-looking as the North Face Oso.
I was on a mission to find a soft yet warm and windproof jacket and I sure found it. Not to mention I totally dig the fun furriness of the coat. I highly recommend it!
