Description of Mountain Hardwear Lightspeed Glove :
Welded 3-ply waterproof breathable construction, removable fleece liners and full gauntlet protection make the Mountain Hardwear Lightspeed Glove the choice of ski mountaineers and hardcore backcountry enthusiasts. Mountain Hardwear eliminated bulky, vulnerable stitching from all major seams in the Lightspeed Glove, to produce weatherproof hand protection that flexes and fits like a second skin. The improved feel and dexterity makes a big difference, whether you're placing a crucial axe swing or unzipping your shell to access your beacon after a slide.
Bottom Line: Experience the future of flexible hand armor with the Lightspeed Glove.
I also had these gloves practically fall apart after 3 uses as well. The "welded" seams are glued and they separate quickly, and the "grip" on the inner liner glove all separated off after the first use!
After 3 uses one glove came apart at the palm seam -- duct tape now fills the gap. On serious hiking in wind the outer glove has performed well, but overall I don't see why these gloves are so seriously hyped and so extravagantly priced.
'Welded' seams fell apart after Day 1. Use silicone to seal them up again. Too bad because I liked the concept behind these gloves. Not worth the bucks.
