There is just something about Mountain Hardware shorts. I ordered a size 34 in these shorts which is my size no matter what,they are just to tight. I also ordered a different style (Runout shorts) in size large,they are just huge. I am now returning both pair and what a pain. All the Mountain Hardware jackets and shirts I own fit no problem (I wear size large) I am 6 foot and 175lbs. Why do they sell one pair of shorts by waist size and one pair by just size S,M and L? It just makes no sense. For the price you pay for there apparel you would think they could get this right. I am trying a size 36 in these Palisade shorts and if they do no fit I am giving up on Mountain Hardware shorts and pants.
Great quality and they look great, but I found them to be a little tight. I have a 36" waist and they fit fine at the waist, but instead of feeling roomy and loose, they felt tight in the seat and crotch. I really do like the shorts and I will wear them around town, but I won't wear them to hike in (which is mostly why I bought them). I love Mountain Hardwear stuff, but to me these are city shorts, not Mountain shorts.
I ordered two pair, one had the gusseted crotch, the charcoal color did not?? I thought about returning them, simply for that reason. Overall good quality, fit and comfort.Did not appreciate the deception! Recommended in rawhide.
