I've not had this jacket very long but I already know this is one tough jacket! I'm working horses, doing barn and farm chores, and this jacket does the job. It is very comfortable, like a second skin. The fit is great. Keeps me dry! Easily packs. This jacket takes first in my opinion!

poor breathability 02-23-09

I purchased this shell for the rigors of backcountry skiing as well as just warm weather rain/wind protection. The jacket is waterproof but has extremely poor breathability. After extreme exertion the inside of the jacket's laminate is covered with moisture that does not wick to the outside instead it just redistributes it back on me & leaves me even more wet & eventually cold! When I get home the inside of the jacket is soaked! I don't recommend this to anyone who plans on using it while working up a good sweat. Otherwise the look, fit & features of the jacket are great. Sorry to have to return it!

I gave this to my special lady for a trip to AK and its performance did not go unrecognized. She's always cold and seems to find ways to get wet but the Mountain Hardwear Cohesion jacket kept her dry. FINALLY!
