Hypnosis may not have gotten you off smoking, but it will help get you up the mountain. The Mountain Hardwear Women's Hypnosis Jacket is a lightweight shell for backcountry skiing, ice climbing, and general playing in the snow. Adjust the hood and hem drawcord with one hand while you dig into the water bottle pocket for a drink. Open the super-light underarm zippers when you're skinning a ridge so you don't start to overheat. The powder skirt keeps the snow out on your descent, and the hood stows away until you need it.

I bought this jacket and have experienced great Mountain Hardwear gear, but it does run a little small around the hip region.

I wore a similar Mountain Hardware jacket last year to ski in, it just didn't have a powder skirt like this one does. I was very happy with that jacket, so I thought I would get this one since it has a powder skirt. Great quality jacket! Keep in mind: I am small/petite, 5' and a size 8 fit perfect everywhere except a bit snug in the hip area, and like I stated, I am small, at only 112 pounds. If I went to a size 10, it would be too big in the arm length and in the underarm -- so keep this in mind before ordering, or try it on somewhere else first! I think this jacket is supposed to fit snug - which doesn't bother me, it will help keep the snow out while skiing! Super quality jacket that I'm sure I will be able to use for years to come!

I'm a huge fan of mountain hardware gear and am quite pleased with this jacket. I ordered a size 10 which fits well everywhere but the hips... and I quite small "hipped". I would recommend ordering up a size to ensure a proper fit.
