Description of Marmot Nomad Softshell Jacket - Women's:
When it’s cold out there, zip up the Marmot Women’s Nomad Softshell Jacket and wander away. Whether you’re roaming aimlessly or you’re going light and fast to the summit, this technical softshell stretches with your movements, blocks wind, and resists moisture. A plush fleece lining locks in heat when you’re hiking a gusty ridgeline, while the stretch-woven shell material helps regulate your temperature. Marmot made this jacket in extremely limited number, so grab one while you can.
Bottom Line: The limited edition Nomad Softshell–for mountain wandering.
Nice mid-weight, simple jacket. Appears sturdy and well-made, feels substantial without bulk. However, this runs on the large side. I'm 5'7" and 135 lb and I got the medium. If they had it, I'd exchange for a small but this is nice enough I won't return it. If you have larger boobs, this will work well for you.
Toasty warm in 40 degree temp with tee underneath. Will work well with what I wanted it for. Don't know yet about it's wind-breaking capacity or how well it breathes.
Long enough and doesn't ride up. Quite flared at the hem so if you don't cinch it, it leaves a big breezy gap poking out in front. Cut/style remains nice looking when cinched at the hem which not all jackets do.
Long arms but I like them that way. Would've liked pockets up high so as not to interfere with a pack.
Be aware the "Espresso" color is more deep maroon than brown-ish. I don't know where anyone finds maroon colored espresso but whatever.
