The waterproof breathable Marmot Men's Stretch Jacket offers that extra bit of give when you're an anchor and four finger widths away from finishing a wet day of climbing. Stretch for that bolt!! Whether you're headed out for a week-long backpacking trip, a European tour, or just a quick jog around the neighborhood on a rainy day, the Stretch Jacket has you covered. Marmot's Angel Wing Movement design gives you plenty of room in the arms and chest for unrestricted movement, while the waterproof breathable Membrain Stretch fabric reduces constriction during movement. Bust open the Stretch Jacket's pitzips when the day turns muggy, and flip up the adjustable hood for some shelter from the afternoon rain. Designed to fit over a softshell or a heavy fleece, the Stretch keeps you comfortable in nearly any condition.
I first used the jacket on a trip to Toronto. It was just trips between the car and the hotel/office and did well to keep me dry. I also used it during a concert that saw some light rain. The true test was a hike of Grays Peak and Torreys Peak - and it passed with flying colors. I've never had pit zips on a rain jacket before, it almost seems counter-intuitive, but they were wonderful on our hike as I stayed dry AND cool. My favorite feature of the jacket is that it packs light so that I can take it anywhere - outdoor adventure to around town. The only downfall is that the hood is too big for my head, at least without a hat on.
