Pull the windproof Marmot Women's Firefly Jacket over your tank top once you've topped out on your windy destination. The WindStopper-enhanced Firefly provides ridgeline protection without weighing down your pack. Wear the Firefly over a light layer on chilly spring days and add a rain shell when the day gets wet. Marmot gave this windproof fleece jacket a flattering women's-specific fit and added zippers to the hand pockets so your smaller items stay put.
I had been looking to a fleece like this for a long time. Last winter I purchased a jacket which promised similar features from patagonia but ended up sendin it right back. This fleece is great because it really is light weight and warm. My only complaint is I am not too crazy about the color...Cream with the brown accents.
This jacket feels light and thin but is actually pretty warm. So far I've only used it for walking the dog on frosty mornings, and it's been great. I'm 5'6", usually wear a small in tops, and the small fits perfectly.
This is a great jacket for cold weather hiking or daywear. I tend to hike hot, so I wore it over a basic technical shirt to climb Mt Rainier and did great while moving. It stopped the wind marvelously. It's also a great jacket for everyday use. I think it runs fairly true to size, I'm 5'6" and the medium is perfect. The sleeve cuffs, while not too small, don't have any stretch, so make sure you're ok with that
