You’ll be running to get into your Marmot Men’s Spellbound Pant when you wake up and see the epic dump that took place while you slept. This shell pant employs Marmot’s Membrain watrerproof breathable fabric to block out all the white smoke that you can kick up on powder days. A Tricot lining in the seat and thighs helps insulate, and internal gripper gaiters seal out snow blasts. Two large zippered cargo pockets hold your energy bars and camera, while the zippered hand-warmer pockets defrost your digits.
Bottom Line: Waterproof performance for spellbinding days in the mountains.
These pants look good and feel warm, but run large...I am 6'0" with a 34.5 waist and the larges almost fall off of me. I would need a belt or suspenders to be comfortable. They are also baggy. I am returning the large for mediums and hope they fit better. The cargo pockets are not zippered, but do have wide strips of Velcro and seem to hold nicely. Also an adjustable waist could solve the fit problem and leg vents would be a nice addition.
I was looking for light spring skiing pants and these looked good but they are more for the snowboarders who like baggy at the lower leg and the extra length to get bunched up at the boot. They look a like a great pant. I loved the cargo pockets and a great the fit around the waist but I did return them to enjoyed by a rider. I am giving them 4 stars but I can't comment on the performance since I didn't use then, my rateing is on the quality of the construction, the fit and feel.
