Description of Marmot Tower 8 Component Jacket - Men's:
Dude—sweet urban-style jacket. How are you not getting totally soaked on the slopes, though? Oh, that’s the Marmot Men’s Tower 8 Component Jacket, so that fabric is actually Marmot’s waterproof breathable MemBrain shell with fully taped seams? I’ll be darned. Hang on, the Tower 8 also has a removable, insulated liner? Angel-Wing Movement design, long pitzips, a removable hood, and a zip-off powder skirt. Damn. So you can wear the full thing for winter, the shell on spring ski days, and the liner around town.
I live in Ontario and on the ski hills here the wind is a huge factor. Last weekend at -20 I didn't feel the wind at all. The jacket holds up well to harsh weather and I would recommend it for all types of winter use. Both the removable liner on its own and the complete jacket look awesome.
Great buy!

Well I have to say this coat is everything I was expecting. I love it! It keeps me warm and dry. It hasnt gotten really cold yet but the coat kept me warm in 20 degree weather. Unfortunately it will get colder... so hopefully it holds up. Personally I am also very satisfied with how stylish it is (I have received compliments!)and how thin/moveable it is. It has also shown itself to be water proof in downpour conditions! Perfect. And the sales associates have proven to be helpful at every turn!
I did however notice a manufacturing blunder... the inside pocket has a hole in it that was never sewn properly. Once this site has the size and color I need in stock again I will be exchanging for the same exact coat as I find it to be perfect for me.

It would not let me down when I needed that real world performance. Amazingly lightweight, attractive, and very comfortable too. Wish I had cause to wear it more often. I recently gave away my like new three layer Gore-Tex, systems jacket in favor of the Marmot Tower 8.
