Description of Marmot Ultimate Ski Glove:
Keep your fingers warm and nimble when you wear the Marmot Men’s Ultimate Ski Glove. Its waterproof, breathable Gore-Tex insert and PrimaLoft insulation ensure maximum warmth. Durable leather palms keep these Marmot gloves ready season after season. The Falcon Grip provides dexterity without losing performance and a ladderlock wrist cinch helps you obtain a close fit. A full-length gauntlet keeps the snow out while handy nose wipes keep the snot off your face. Safety leashes make sure you don’t donate the Marmot Ultimate Ski Gloves to skiers below as you ride the lift, because it’s doubtful that gloves with this many features would find their way back to you.

Bottom Line: Ideal for wicked cold conditions.

warm, dry, durable   09-25-08

I've had these for 2 seasons and love them. Very warm, great for big powder days (deep bib w/good closure), and the palms are more durable than any other glove I've used- I usually go through 1-2 pairs per season as I ski the Snowbird tram most days and constantly holding your skis in line can throw your gloves a beating. These hold-up well.

Uncomfortable and too stiff   01-19-09

I agree with war2619792: these are very well made with quality throughout. However the insulation in the fingers is SO tight and stiff, that you can hardly close your hands around a ski pole handle with these gloves on. While extra long gaiters may be desirable by some, these are so long that it's virtually impossible to roll them back to check your wristwatch...the gloves measure 13" from the tip of the middle finger to the edge of the gaiter. I use the Spyder Sestriere for normal temperatures on Bristol Mtn, NY (see my review), and the BD Guides when temps drop to the single digits and below zero. Both are very well made and considerably more comfortable and functional than the Ultimate's. The Sestriere's are very stylish; the Guide's are the ultimate in warmth, especially if you have a touch of Reynaud's Syndrome as I do.

Disappointed in the newer version   12-08-08

-Dexterity: 1 turn. Very rigid, in part because of weird treated leather on palm and fingers. -Removable liner: 0 turns, no liner -Wrist fit: 3 turns. 2nd best wrist strap of them all with tacky grip for tightening with the other glove on -Palm material: 0 turns. Weird, rigid, hard feeling, not tacky grip material -Overall Construction: 2 turns. -Verdict: 1.2 turns. Kudos for great wrist strap - glove tested only came with one idiot strap on left glove....guess there is an extra strap without a glove somewhere in China. Overall, I was surprised by the changes Marmot made in the Ultimate Ski Glove the past few years. I bought this to replace my previous Marmot Ultimate Ski's which I loved....this new version fell short of those expectations
