Description of Marmot Power Stretch Half-Zip Fleece Jacket - Men's:
Pull the Marmot Men's Power Stretch Zip Top Jacket over your base layer for a little non-restrictive insulation and head out for that Technicolor autumn hike. Marmot made the Power Stretch Zip Top Jacket with stretchy Polartec Power Strech fleece, which retains warmth without restricting movement so you can hike, climb, or scramble in comfortable warmth. Zip the collar all the way up when the chill sets in or bust the zipper open for a little extra ventilation. Stash your smaller items in the zippered chest pocket and get rid of that nose-cicle with the nose wipe on the cuff. Flat-lock seams make for seamless, non-bulky layering under a shell.
Bottom Line: The Marmot Power Stretch Zip Top Jacket provides warmth without holding you back.
Great jacket as the other reviews suggest. Warm and athletic fit, medium fits a 6' 180lb man well.
However,
Backcountry - you need to get your act together with your product photographs. As another reviewer mentioned, the contrasting white stitching on the black jacket is nonexistent. This is the second time I've ordered gear from you that arrived looking completely different from the photograph. You might as well not offer photos if the colors are this far off.
I layer this with an Icebreaker Crew 200 and it keeps me warm down to the high 30's while running. It is very breathable too and wicks sweat away fast. This is slightly thicker and warmer compared to the Cloudveil Run Don't Walk Hooded Sweatshirt (when not using the hood). I do love the chest pocket which I frequently use to keep my iPod and keys, which is missing from the Cloudveil. However the Cloudveil looks better IMHO.
This fleece is light, warm and great for climbing. I'm 6'6", 195 lbs, +2 ape index, so usually nothing fits me, but the XL, other than being a little wide has the perfect length sleeves. I've owned other fleeces before and the fit with this one is the best I can hope for without going custom.
