Built to perform in an alpine environment and designed to turn heads back in town, the Mammut Women’s Ililmani Jacket goes wherever your boots take you. This tough shell defends you from wind, snow, rain . . . anything but a charging mama moose. Beathable, compressible fabric feels light and packs even lighter. A two-way front zip lets you adjust from top-down for ventilation or from bottom-up for messing with a harness.
Bottom Line: Take it anywhere—from summit to coffee shop.
I wanted this jacket for backpacking and climbing in the Pacific NW mtns....I just did a trip in SE Alaska, and had some rain and cooler temps, and the jacket does a great job of protecting against the weather...wind and rain, both. Nice looking, too. My only complaint is that it's a bit on the heavy and non-compressible side, but that's a trade-off for its durable material I guess.
Bottom line is that I'll take it skiing or mountaineering during the shoulder seasons, but probably I'll be looking for a lighter-weight alternative for summer trips.
This shell is so lightweight, breathable, and waterproof. This is my first Mammut product, and boy am I glad I tried them out. The fit is so extremely great. It's definitely shaped for a woman. It shows off my figure, the sleeves are long enough (I'm 5'11") and the body is the length I wanted for a rain jacket (not too long). You can tell that this jacket is pure quality. The materials are very comfortable. Most of it feels like a soft shell. The other material on the arms is thinner, which I like so that the jacket doesn't feel too heavy when used for rain.
Super cute jacket that fits great. Fits so good its like its made for me. Stretchy and have used it spring skiing and traveling in rainy Bavaria. Perfect in every way. Gotten lots of compliments on it to.
