Purchased these thinking they would be a durable hiker. I've only had them for 3 months and they are falling apart. The rubber rand is separating from the uppers. Stitching in the uppers has begun to rip apart signaling immanent demise. The tongue in one shoe is way off center and requires attention simply to get them laced. Just another pair of sneakers masquerading as boots.

Right out of the box, took them on a 6 mile day hike over steep, rocky and snowy terrain in Sandias. The were absolutely wonderful. Extremely comfortable. Bought them for summer backpacking in SW Colorado. I think they will be ideal. I'm very happy with this purchase. These La Sportiva Mulaz backpacking boots are unsurpassed in quality and very sturdy. So far I rate them 5 Stars!
