Description of La Sportiva Ventor Climbing Shoe:
A padded sole and comfortable synthetic-lined upper make the La Sportiva Ventor Climbing Shoes a great pick for all-day trad routes or bouldering circuits. These La Sportiva shoes feature sticky FriXion RS soles that provide excellent edging performance. Mesh inserts in the leather upper enhance ventilation while you climb on hot mid-summer days. The Ventor Climbing Shoes' hook-and-loop closures allow you to take them off and put them on quickly, even at a hanging belay ten pitches up. Thanks to the well-padded sole, your feet won't even scream during the gully descent.

Bottom Line: Conquer big days on the rock with the comfort of the La Sportiva Ventor Climbing Shoes.

comfy and a little wide   04-06-07

These shoes are very comfortable but they are a little wide in the toe box. I have pretty narrow feet but I got the same size as my mythos (39.5) and they are still a little wide in the toe box and when my feet sweat, they slide around a little more than I'd like. I think part of the problem might also be that I can't tighten the toe box like I can on my mythos due to only having the velcro. All in all I feel like it was a good purchase for the price.

I agree that the toe box is a little wider than I would like. My edging is not as solid as in my Miura's, but these make a great Trad/Bigwall shoe. They are also GREAT for long bushwhack gully descents. All in all a good shoe, but downsize.
