The Mountain Lite features Leki’s six-degree angle correction, which places the tip further forward for effortless pole plants, and an extended shaft wrap for positive grip options when ascending or adjusting length on-the-fly. The streamlined SLS locking system makes accidental shortening a thing of the past, and it won’t catch or release when sliding through your pack’s straps. On the comfort side, the trigger grip’s dense open-cell foam is warmer than hard rubber or plastic—a huge plus when you go barehanded on the skin track—and the carbide tip bites securely on frozen ice and exposed rocks.

I only have used these poles for a week, but so far I am pretty happy. They are super lite, and the pole baskets were great on a deep powder day. I did have some problems with the poles sliding down while I was hiking. I found that you have to make sure they are very tight before putting too much weight and trust on them.
