I tested these boots in N Cascades on the Torment-Forbidden route. They are light and I was impressed how they held on approach and the rock climbing part, but they do an average job on snow and ice. The main issue is the narrowness of the sole - they are much narrower than standard step-in crampons and if you do a lot of kicking they will eventually slide laterally in the crampon. Overall good quality, best suited for beginner level mountaineering routes and narrow feet.

I am very happy (thus far) with this purchase. Out of the box they fell like they were molded for my feet. I can't wait to see what these puppies can do with 50+ pounds on my back in mixed terrain for 10+ days!!!
