The Kavu Women's Hempster Jean is no ordinary super-comfy hemp/cotton blend capri. The Hempster's tough reinforced stitching and resilient fabric feels soft, but it can handle the trail; the relaxed fit and side-slit leg cuffs give you freedom of motion to tackle the trails. Ample pockets provide storage for essentials (lighter, knife, pink lip gloss), and with the Hempster's casual cut, you can move from trail to café with no need for a wardrobe change.
Bottom Line: Feel hip on the trail and about town in the Hempster.
Normally I like Kavu clothes, but these shorts fit strange. They are way larger than the size chart indicates. he the waist is much larger than the legs, giving you a funny 'v' shape. I returned them.
The material is heavy, maybe works for a fall short- too beefy for summer.
These shorts are indeed bizarre. The waist and hip area is huge but the legs are very form-fitting. This has the effect of accentuating the hips and thighs. This is not a problem area for me, but these shorts make it look like I have serious junk in the trunk. I don't really think they would look good on any body type, except maybe if you are a stick or something.
