If you think Dickies and Carharts are tough, wait till you try the Kavu Men's Chilliwack Pant. Made for the toughest outdoor activities, the sturdy FORCE 10 canvass material guards against tears, stains, and wear. These work pants give new meaning to the word "durable." Pre-washed and broken-in to relieve stiffness, these Kavu canvass pants feel as soft as your flannel shirt. The built-in, burly belt lets you worry about one less thing.
Bottom Line: The Chilliwack Pant is rough and tough.
I bought my pair of XL Chilliwacks on SAC, and couldn't be happier. I wear 38x34 normally, and they fit well in both directions, not too short on me. They seem to be well constructed and the material is strong yet comfortable. They are definitely fit for working or hiking through brush, though they are probably too heavy for normal backpacking
My friend bought me these pants from Steep and Cheap, and they are the only pants in my wardrobe that have survived the past two years. I am a textbook OVER-WEARER of these pants (day-in, day-out..they are comfy!), but they are only now beginning to show (small holes at most vulnerable seams). I would actually go the other way on the wallet issue... the pocket drops so low you don't need to rest your butt on-top of your wallet, which I prefer. These are the best pants I have ever owned, and I want more
I agree with the other... Great pant except for the wallet issue and the length... I can live with the wallet issue. I would buy more if we could get a longer length. Same with the shorts, let's get some length to really make this work....
