Description of K2 Apache Stryker with Marker M1 12.0 Bindings:
K2 lets you hit the mountain hard and fast with the versatile Apache Stryker Ski and Marker M1 12.0 Binding. This package cuts straight down the middle: mid-radius turns, mid-stiff flex, and a confidence-inspiring shape that’s one part carve ski, one part mid-fat. Advanced skiers who spend most of the day inscribing arcs in hardpack and corduroy will love the smooth, nimble feel of the Stryker, and its ability to venture beyond the tree line when needed. The Marker M1 12.0 Binding has enough beef to keep Paul Bunyan locked down, and K2’s integrated mounting system promotes rounder, more natural ski flex.
Bottom Line: It slices, it dices, it even makes julienne fries.

Wow, what a difference a ski makes. For a midrange ski this one hits the mark for recreational runs on mixed conditions. I've been on groomed, ice, hardpack, and loose granular and the ski has transitioned nicely to each (except ice but what ski can do that). Edges catch great and there is little to no wash out. I highly recommend this ski.
I recently Purchased the Apache Strykers. The shop that I got them from were out of the Marker bindings which typically are supplied with these skis, instead I received the Salomon Z10s. I am an "intermediate" skier on my best days, but hope to get better. I ski in Ohio so I am already disadvantaged. I have taken it out a few times and have only been able to ski on crud. The skis have handled very well so far. I feel that the handling is significantly better than my rented skis I am used to. I will be taking them to Holiday Valley in NY (big step up for me) to give them a more serious try and will follow-up with a more detailed review.
