For those red desert rides, pull on your Jett Gear Women’s Raven Shorts. These mountain bike shorts feature Jett Gear’s zippered intake and exhaust vents, so air circulates while you crank your way up a hill on a hot day. A clip-out, seamless 3D chamois ensures comfort in the saddle and on the post-ride bar stool (well, actually, come to think of it, a little padding might be nice on those stools—but the diaper look is decidedly out). A ribbed spandex stretch panel above your glutes means these shorts fit comfortably on and off the bike and don’t restrict your movements.
These fit true to the size chart except the elastic around the bottom of the liner is insanely tight, I felt it constricted movement. These are BIKE SHORTS, they should be sized to accommodate ladies with built quads. If you're a biker and you don't have built quads, you're going to get them soon or you don't ride enough to warrant owning shorts. So the shorts should fit accordingly! The chamois is nice, and the outer shorts are nice too, loads of pockets and flattering fit for bike shorts. Hope they stretch otherwise they're going back.
I wanted shots with at least a tiny bit more style than the lycra nightmares, and these fit the bill. The outer is soft but tough and...yep, stylish. The legs are wide enough for my muscular thighs and the inners are well padded - took them out on a 35m break-in and they were super-comfy. I guess the zip air-vents work, it was hot and I didn't notice getting sweaty. The elastic around the legs was a little tight, but I do have meaty thighs. I liked the serious but feminine look to them and they were really true to size - a great buy, and no more hideous lycra!
