The Ibex ¾ Janes are a skier or snowboarder's best friend, offering moisture-wicking warmth in a ¾ length base layer bottom that won't interfere with your boots. New Zealand Merino wool makes the ¾ Janes the pinnacle of base layer technology, which is funny considering the material is all from a sheep. Caring for the ¾ Janes is pleasantly brainless, wash 'em and hang them out for a few hours to dry and you're back in business. Even better, because they're Merino Wool they won't hold or build stink, so you can quietly sneak several days out of them before a wash.
Once you use the 3/4 Janes, you'll wonder why you ever needed full-length bottoms, especially since your socks cover the rest of your legs. They are the perfect length for all winter activities -- skiing, snow camping, etc. Very comfortable base layer and machine washable. Mine have been through the washer 7 times now with no change in appearance or function (not because they smelled, purely out of habit). I've worn mine for 4 days straight and they never got smelly. Too bad I couldn't say the same thing for my husband in his synthetic long-underwear...
The 3/4 length is perfect to pair with knee-high socks for snowboarding or other cold-weather adventures. They have also been great as long johns in the fall and spring seasons--optimizing the breathability of the wool. I appreciate the high waist design, which I cinch down or fold over if not tucking in my super cold outfit for snow play. These are high quality, and genius design.
I always reach for these in the morning because they are so warm, versatile, and functional. Perfect for the New Hampshire weather that I'm still getting used to. I might just have to buy a couple more pairs.
