Description of Helly Hansen Alima Bib Pant - Women's:
Bibbed ski pants give you great protection from the snow on the ski hill, and the Helly Hansen Women’s Alima Pant combines this cut with some fashion-forward carpenter style. Stretch boot gaiters seal the snow out at the cuffs, and insulation in the seat and knees gives you some added protection from the cold. Plenty of pockets stow all the tools of your trade—lip balm, phone, keys, tissues, and snacks all fit inside. If you work up a sweat moving around, the inseam vents let you air condition on the go.
I purchased these Alima Bib Pants early last season when they first came out. I was looking for a pant with a bib because I do a lot of back country hiking in deep powder and wanted to stay dry. These pants fit well and look nice however they are a huge hassle when riding back country if you need to do any adjusting or go to the washroom because the quick release straps do not work so you have to take off all your gear to get them down, also on my first time out the buttons that hold up the straps broke off. However unlike one of the other reviews I do feel as though Helly Hansen does stand by their product, all of their gear has a life time warrenty on all seams and zippers, buttons etc. All you have to do is take them to your nearest Helly Hansen dealer and they will have it fixed or replaced for free in just a couple weeks. I would no recommend thses pants to anyone, but I still stand by Helly Hansens products. I will not be using these pants for another season, unfortunatly I will be seeking a bib-less pair for this coming season. One last thing about these pants is that the leg vents are on the outside, and I find that they are more effective on the inside of the leg.
i was skeptical on how these would fit, im on the smaller size, and the butt part of pants are always horrendous on me.im 5'6" and 125lbs and the small was absolutely perfect. close enough to the body for warmth, but loose enough to move with ease. The pockets are fantastic and the leg length is just right. i got them in white, little nervous about them getting dirty, but so far, so good.
i bought a pair of helly hansen women's ski pants at the start of the season and they ripped on the leg the first day out. called several times and went into the store and they wouldnt do anything for me. pretty disappointing. i wasnt doing anything crazy - just for HH to stand behind their clothing. wouldnt recommend HH for skiing/snowboarding.
*also got lond distence charges on my cell phone becasue i called HH 1-800 number and they put me through to british columbia. lame.
