Description of Helly Hansen Stoneham Jacket - Men's: |
 |
With critical stretch panels, a host of rider-specific features, and the paramount protection of HellyTech XP waterproof breathable fabric, the Helly Hansen Stoneham Jacket is cocked and locked for wintersport assaults. Let the old man come with his worst, and hunker down behind the Stoneham’s fully taped construction, water-resistant zips, adjustable hood and zip-off storm skirt while you wait for an opening. When you can finally see your hand in front of your face, it’s time to flash your pass, pump your soundtrack, and mach from the tram to the traverse as fast as possible. Helly Hansen’s Flo2w venting system opens up to evacuate heat, so you can do it all over again sans the sweaty sauna effect.
Bottom Line: Stoneham must get some pretty brutal weather.

| Hands down, the nicest jacket I have ever owned. Super light weight, yet has some insulation...it is not a true "shell." It seems to be warm enough to get away with wearing it with little underneath;a thin fleece or sweater would definitely suffice in 15 *F. The fit is rather baggy, I have a large, and I am 6 foot, 180 lbs. The hood is very nice, big enough to wear over a helmate. The thing that surprised me the most were the pockets. They are extremely warm, lined with a thick fleece...very awesome. Everything else on the jacket seems solid. I love the pockets (mesh goggle, mesh electronic, chest, pass, two hand warmer), and the zippers are very sturdy and easy to use. Despite the heavy price, I'd say this jacket is worth it, especially as the price falls below 300. |

| I've had TNF and Mountain Hardware shells before this... let's just say they didn't compare: in workmanship, materials, performance, appearance, etc. I cannot think of a single negative about this jacket. It has so many technical features that you would ever dream of and it is going to keep you warm and dry. Get it while you can. |

| First off this is an incredibly well-built jacket. I am majorly impressed.
but BE CAREFUL! The black jacket here does not have the mahogany-colored zipper liners as shown in the pictures!! The zipper liners are BRIGHT RED!!!
I thought I would get the black one and possibly wear it to work--but with the bright red lining everywhere there's no way. So be careful!
sick jacket though, these crazy norwegians know what they are doing. |
