As epic orchestra music plays in the background, the High Society FR Twin-Tip Ski carries you forth like a Viking war ship. The underfoot girth floats pow with authority, and the warrior sidecut assaults enemy settlements and frontside runs without mercy. Tri-axel fiberglass weaves encase the full wood core, giving the FR Twin unstoppable torsional strength and edge hold, and thin rubber strips dampen the ride to eliminate chatter without compromising flex. High Society developed a special resin and fiberglass blend that bonds your bindings to your boards for intense response and energy transfer.
Bottom Line: Pillage and plunder.

I purchased the 179 FRs a few weeks ago and rode them yesterday (2/8) for the first time at Mt Hood - Meadows. I bought them to serve as all-mountain skis, with a bias toward fresh snow days. The snow at Meadows was frozen granular in the morning and corn in the afternoon. These babies ripped down groomers, and despite their wide waist, linking turns wasn't very difficult. I liked these so much that I purchased the FRs in 187 as well for big snow days. I received multiple compliments on the ski's appearance and solid construction...they seem very well made (in the USA). I mounted the bindings 1cm behind the freeride line.
Just FYI, the pictures here show only the top and base. The sidewalls on these skis are BRIGHT RED.
Total surprise when I opened the box, but quite nice, because they match my boots.
east coast skiier, bought as my first pair of twin tips. amazing pair of skis, loved every second on them. really light, but still stiff enough to handle the ice patches. great on groomers, in the trees, everywhere. they also look awesome
