initially looking at this pack, it has it all...pockets for anything and enough room so store the extras. however, the design of the compartments, in my opinion, are not in the optimal places. the laptop compartment is on the side furthest away from the carrier's back so if nothing else is in backpack, the pack feels unbalanced (as if its pulling away from you). if it wasn't for this design "flaw", i would say this pack is great for a laptop/day pack as i'm sure with more stuff inside, the more balanced it becomes.
