Description of Ground High Camp Tent 3-Person 4 Season:
Seek shelter in the Ground High Camp Tent when your treks take you to windy, cold alpine climes. This four-season roosting-place sheds wind and water and blocks the elements outside so you don’t (necessarily) have to cuddle with your climbing partner to stay warm. Solid construction and a durable, full-coverage fly makes waiting out a storm system a walk in the park.
Two doors keep you from clambering over your pals to enter and exit
Clear window on fly gives you a room with a view
Vented fly allows airflow when you need it
Double vestibules create extra storage space
Interior pockets stow your headlamp, book, and travel-size Parcheesi board
Bottom Line: Kind of like having a yurt with you, except it weighs several hundred pounds less.
I bought this tent this summer and have used it four or five times. It seems very well made. The only issue (and maybe it is actually intentionally designed this way) is that the last pole to go in, no matter what order I erect them, doesn't quite seem to fit (as if the pole is 1/2 inch too long or that the distance between grommets through the sleeve is 1/2 inch too short). It takes a LOT of pressure to get the final little nib into the grommet. However, as a result this thing is ROCK SOLID because of how much tension the fabric is under. You can lift it up and move it around without any flimsiness. The reflective nature of the guy strings is a great feature and the whole thing looks cool at night with a lamp on inside of it.
