For big days in the backcountry where skiing and climbing are on the agenda, the Ground Men’s Glissade Jacket gives you the durable weather protection you need to reach the summit and cut turns all the way back down. A waterproof breathable MoistureTex laminate and fully taped seams beat back snow and moisture, and hidden Underarm zips help you regulate your body temperature on the ascent. When the storm blows in, the fully adjustable hood and drawcord hem seal you off from blowing snow.
Bottom Line: Durable protection for the ups and downs.
the wet sand is a little darker than the picture. I ordered a Medium, I'm 5'8", and it fits just as expected, close to my body like good form-fitting outdoor shell. Lightweight shell for sure, I agree that the pit vent zips are unnecessarily tiny. I can't wait to use this in my favorite winter environments!
I got this on Steep and Cheap, and it was a great deal. When I got it, it looked great, the vents looked good, and the pockets looked great, but it was way too big. It felt more like an Extra Large instead of a Large. I'm 6'2" and 165 pounds, and I was swimming in the large. It would have been great, if it fit.
Tough to review the features when the fit is so bad. Also know that I never used it just tried it on. That being said I seriously wanted to like this jacket. It looks great and has a bunch of usable features plus the price was right. It was supposed to be my new ski/ outdoors shell but the sizing is way off. I’m 5 11 195 lbs and a large all jackets but this large is much more like an XL. I've read this complaint on other Ground jackets so the whole product run must have this problem. I would have ordered in an M but BC is out. Ground appears to be a good company so I hope they standardize their sizes. Also know that it's nice to have pit zips but the zippers are wimpy.
