This is a good jacket, although it does have some room for improvement. I would have liked to see hand warmer pockets and a stow pocket. Some of the high points are: Its overall length is longer than the Nuptse or Sub Zero and it has a good sized hood that is big enough for a helmet but adjustable for use without a helmet. The hood also is nicely insulated.

The Morain is a nice down jacket but for the Money you may want to choose some othe options. Marmot Ellsworth is lighter and Less bulky plus less expensive if you shop around. Ground Neve has about the same characteristics minus the hood. So if you don't need a hood and want to save $30 plus dollarsyou may want to select the Neve. All of the above jackets are NOT waterproof or do they resist water. This is not uncommon in down jackets.

I was apprehensive about buying a Ground jacket because I don't know anyone that owns one and I don't know the brand. I was pleasantly surprised on how well made and how warm it is. BRAVO Ground! I bought a size large and the sleeves were a bit long. I am 5'9" with proportionate arm length. I also have the Ground 800 jacket with the reinforced sleeves. No doubt Ground makes good quality products.
