Description of Ground Orbit Down Jacket - Women's:
The Ground Women’s Orbit Down Jacket packs big heat while giving you two-sided versatility for when you wear it every day. Ground stuffed the jacket with fluffy, 700-fill down and gave it one side of polyester microfiber and one side of nylon ripstop for two distinctive looks. Two tricot-lined hand pockets warm up frosty digits, and a zippered chest pocket holds your camera or energy bars.
Bottom Line: No one will know you’ve been wearing the same puffy for three months straight.
This jacket is my first down, though I've lived in the cold all my life. This year I decided that I'd had enough and bought my first ever. And I absolutly love it! Where I live, it gets below -30 F, and this puffy hasn't let me down yet. My body type is long, slender, though densely boned, which makes the jacket slightly wide, short and tight on the wrists, but I can't give this jacket any less than the best rating because these issues do not detract enough from the main idea behing the jacket....warmth.

Nice jacket 11-06-09

I bought this jacket partly on the color. Even though it's listed as "Garnet", the picture looked more orange which is what I wanted. The actual color is pink. It's not my favorite color but the jacket is very comfortable and warm so far - I live in Chicago so this will only be my fall/spring coat. I suggest the coat but just no the color is not what it appears in the thumbnail.
Jacket is great. Keeps you toasty in rippin winds and near freezing temps. The jacket has a little "hide a tag" slit when you reverse it....sweet. The collar zips up high on your neck to just under my chin. The elastic cuffs are sooper tight and there is a drawstring elastic cord at the waist. My only complaint is the length of the bodice and arms. I'm 5'9" with a short body and the coat hits AT the hips if not a bit above and the sleeves could be a half to one inch longer in the M. I can deal with that though. Awesome Lilac color
