GoLite constructed the Sastrugi entirely of HyLite, a durable, stretch-woven polyester fabric backed with lightweight fleece to beef up heat retention and next-to-skin comfort. A seam-taped hood and waterproof breathable membrane lock out all but the wettest weather from the body. Generously featured with water-resistant chest, arm, and hand pockets, as well as interior media and water bottle stashes, the Sastrugi Hooded Jacket is capable of nearly any cold-weather excursion.

WHAT HAPPENED? THIS WAS POTENTIALLY A SICK GOLITE SOFTSHELL... WHY AREN'T ALL THE SEAMS TAPED? WHAT UP WITH THE WEAK ZIPPERS? I MEAN, FROM THE TIME I FIRST PUT IT ON I COULD TELL THAT I WAS GOING TO HAVE TROUBLE WITH THE MAIN ZIPPER, AND IT FAILED AFTER ZIPPING IT ON AND OFF ABOUT 15 TIMES. FABRIC IS NICE, AND IT IS A BURLY SOFT SHELL.. THE HOOD IS SWEET. FULLY SEAM TAPE THE JACKET AND ADD A BEAFIER ZIPPER AND IT WOULD BE A WINNER... IT'S NOT A LIGHT WEIGHT SHELL SO THAT SHOULDN'T MATTER.
