Description of Gold Coast Darkness Floater Longboard:
The Gold Coast Darkness Floater Longboard—damn … we can’t wait to get on this thing. Pinstripes, gold and black graphics on the deck and wheels, all black trucks—this ain’t your brother’s longboard. The Darkness features Gold Coast’s versatile floater shape and carvable arch concave for ridiculous control, turnability, and stability at speed. Seven plies of sandwiched premium maple and Baltic birch give this 46-inch complete plenty of snap and make sure it’ll be in your quiver for ages.
This is my first longboard, so I can't speak too well to the quality of the ride, but my friends have all remarked it's a joy to ride.
The board looks very sharp, however I'm going to have to put some reflective tape or something, because at night this guy is darn near impossible to see (which can be cool, as long as you don't step off and spend a while looking for it.)
My only gripe is the bearings that came with the board were pretty junked up, and no matter what the efficiency of the board wasn't great. Once i replaced the bearings, however, everything was gravy.
I got this board, and the wheels didn't spin as much as I thought they should. This is a common problem with completes, I've found. Just give the wheel bolts a half turn loose and you're dialed. Other than that fun ride and sick graphic!
