Description of Giro Encore 2 Signature Series Helmet:
Snowboard super pros Tommy Czeschin or Antti Autti gave the Giro Encore 2 Signature Series Helmet an advanced, durable construction, because eating it from 15 feet above the lip requires serious head protection. The Encore 2's low-profile, skate style looks good without going overboard. 13 mesh covered vents provide ventilation, without letting snow in if you crash. Giro covered an impact absorbing EPS liner with a plastic shell for durability, so the Encore 2 will last through many seasons of riding. Tommy and Antti gave the Encore 2 a custom graphic so you'll stand out in the park.
Bottom Line: If want to progress to Tommy and Antti's level, you're going to fall a lot. Protect your head in the Encore 2 Signature Series Helmet.
As the title says, its good looking, doesn't weigh too much, and its not too expencive either. I have been using it for a while now. At first i thought it would be quite cold, because of all of the ventilation openings. But, i never felt cold wearing it, and i dont get too sweaty eaither. A perfect balance! Both thumbs up for this extraordinary helmet :)
I got this helmet after my wife nagged me about getting one. She said she wanted to grow old with me and not have to wipe my ass cause i fell snowboarding, and thought helmets were uncool. Well this helmet is pretty cool. It is stylish and has a great feel. I smacked my head pretty hard last weekend and thanks to this helmet my wife won't be having to wipe my sweet cheeks.
this helmet had a couple of things wrong with it: A. it was heavy compared to lightweight protec helmets. B. due to the weird shape of (either my head or) the helmet, it pressed in on my temples, and after wearing the helmet for about half an hour AROUND THE HOUSE, i got a headache. however, i later realized that the helmet is made for women, and i am not a woman. possibly women have different shaped heads. if so, i have never heard of that fact. either way, i dont think that this is a good buy..
