The Giro Bad Lieutenant Helmet is standard-issue gear for riders working on advanced maneuvers around the globe. A high-impact ABS shell is bonded with an impact-absorbing EPS liner for protection against incoming fire and hard landings. The removable earpads are backed with plush fleece padding. Because you're in combat mode, you'll have to do without ventilation. The Lieutenant is TuneUps compatible. The Green Camo and Snow Camo helmets have canvas covering.
Bottom Line: Bring the Giro Bad Lieutenant Helmet to assault the park.

My 13 year old snowboarding/park rat son and I have been wearing the Bad Lt. for the past 2 seasons. There are no downsides to this item. It looks great, the audio ear flaps sound great and keep ears warm, a sturdy snap strap holds goggles in place and there are no gaps between the goggles and helmet. The lack of vents is a non-issue - you do not overheat. The fact my son proactively puts it on for the looks and the music and I wear it because I'm old enough to know that it could be the difference one day (and as I said, it does keep ears warm and does sound great) makes this an all around winner. I also believe that the helmet has a timeless enough quality (in other words it will still be "cool", "steezy" or whatever the word will be in 3-5 years) that I have one each extras in the attic.
This helmet looks great but pinched a bit at first. After riding w/it for a little bit, though, I seemed to have gotten used to it where I don't notice it too much. The only major gripe I have is that the goggle strap on the back doesn't snap over my goggles so I had to make an adjustment there. Otherwise the helmet looks great and works well w/my Smith goggles (aside from the strap issue).
