This slim-fit jacket features GORE’s WindStopper material to stop breezes and gale-force winds alike from stealing your body heat. GORE placed stretch fabric in key areas to prevent rideup and let you move freely. Should you get too warm in the Phantom, detach the sleeves to make this jacket into a short-sleeve windshirt. Durable elastic binding on the hem and cuffs stop the wind from sneaking in.

Bottom Line: As windproof as a suit of armor—but a lot less clunky.

This jacket is awesome. It covers a wide range of temperatures which is a requirement in St. Louis. A 50, 60 even 70 degree temp swing in one day here is not uncommon. I commute by cycle to work and we've had some windy 15-20 degree days since I purchased this jacket. With another long sleeve layer, I was toasty warm. The windstopper fabric really works and it's lightweight. We've also had a couple of 75 degree days -- off with the sleeves and down with the zipper -- cool as a cucumber. Just be sure to read the size chart. I usually wear a M/L in women's but had to get an XL in this jacket. Oh...and the red color is beautiful.

This was a Christmas gift from my husband. I can't say anything about all its wonderful features. Even though he ordered extra large, I couldn't even get it on over my shoulders. I know I am bigger than I should be, but I am not THAT big. I won't be getting any smaller on my bike wearing this jacket. It must be cut for professional bike racers, not average 47 year old moms.
