The Forum Recon Wide Snowboard packs a medium-flex Compound Matix core and easy-to-ride shape that makes every day on the hill more fun than the one before. Both the rank beginner and the seasoned veteran love the damp feel of the core and smooth flow of Forum’s Free base. A generous 257mm waist width keeps your big boots from dragging on every toe-side turn. The Recon Snowboard also features a short stance setback to create extra flotation in the powder without compromising your ability to stick a 540. *We have no control over which base color you receive, but they’re all sick.
I have rode this board 7 times this season and i will have to say, i am impressed with the performance. I was expecting some mediocre crap board, but it has a nice flex, easy to keep an edge, and relatively cheap. My only complaint is that is very slow. In my opinion. more for a beginner but it will do.
Board is legit, felt great on the mountain, smooth ride, good control. Rides great and looks great, its a brighter green than it looks like on the computer, but looks good.
No problems, no issues. Note the stance setback, it does make a big difference. I used to go duck-footed in my bindings (about 12 degrees each), on this board I'm 'regular' with 8 and 21 settings, which seems to work well. Flex is great, I'm 6ft2in 165lbs riding a 161 wide with no problems. For my height/weight, I would probably recommend a 159, but 161 was all they had in wide (which I needed for my huge feet) and it seems to work pretty well. It is a bit of a challenge carving w/ this board on hard packed because I'm a bit light for it.
