Description of Ex Officio Air Strip Lite Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's:
Sometimes a shirt is more than just a shirt. Ex Officio used its lightweight Dryflylite fabric in the Men's Long-Sleeve Air Strip Shirt for excellent moisture wicking properties and UPF 30+ sun protection. The Air Strip Shirt's adjustable three-position collar shades your neck while you paddle across a lake at noon or hike an exposed trail. On unbearably hot days, you'll be glad Ex Officio gave the Air Strip Lite Shirt mesh back and side vents. If you accidentally tip the canoe, hang this travel shirt over a branch once you reach the shore—its nylon-polyester fabric dries quickly.
Bottom Line: The Ex Officio Air Strip Lite Shirt keeps you cool and protects you from the sun.
I usually wear a medium, but Ex Officio's sizes seem to run large. I ended up sending it back, and buying in the small size from a store where I could try it on. I also switched to light green, which is more opaque than the white was. The shirt is very light, well vented, and comfortable.
For something that can do double duty as office wear, I prefer the Royal Robbins Expedition shirt and Columbia's Titanium line, so those may be worth looking at as options.
Not only is this a good lookin' shirt, it performs really well. I wore it hiking in 90 heat with high humidity and soaked this shirt with sweat. I took it off and laid it on a rock and it was dry in five minutes. It has really nice features like the fold-up collar and the air vents in the back and sides.
